Where do I find the main Syls updates and news❓

• Our main club wide updates will be shared through a Syls Club News email newsletter, which will also be available to read online and links provided on ClubZap & main WhatsApp Channels. You can subscribe or unsubscribe to these email updates if you wish.

How do I submit something for inclusion in the newsletter or channels❓

• Post an image and short snippet to the "Club News Submission" WhatsApp Group (previously Reports & Round Ups group). Request access here >

Do I still need ClubZap❓

• Yes. ClubZap remains central to club activity. It will continue to support team groups and scheduling, act as the hub linking to the email update, WhatsApp Channels and other key information such as bookings, and fixtures and results.

Where do I find day to day team and club information❓

• For integrated team group chats, training schedules, match management, links to fixtures and results, ClubZap is encouraged as the main platform, with many teams now using it in place of inferior tools like Teamer.

What are the WhatsApp Channels❓

• WhatsApp Channels are one way updates from the club. There is no chat and no clutter. Members simply FOLLOW the channels that are of interest to them.

How many WhatsApp Channels are there❓

4 x WhatsApp Channels:

• Inside Syls – Noticeboard
  Important club wide updates for all members

• Inside Syls – Juvenile Section
  Juvenile and Academy information, camps, Mini All Irelands, photos and round ups

• Inside Syls – Match Tracker
  Senior games, Féile and other key fixtures, with links to fixtures and results

• Inside Syls – Club Coaching (for club coaches)
  Coaching calendar, courses, events and updates for mentors and coaches

 What will be posted on the main WhatsApp Channel, Inside Syls – Noticeboard ❓

• Club wide information for all members (important updates, condolences, newsletter links, match tickets, inter county representation shout outs, Syls social, community notices, etc).

Will everything be posted on social media❓

• No. Instagram and Facebook will be used more selectively to share match highlights and key moments, not every update, and relevant social media links will be posted to the WhatsApp Channels.

What about X❓

• Use of X for 2026 is TBC. If active posting is reduced, a pinned notice will remain directing members to ClubZap, WhatsApp Channels and other platforms.

When does all this start❓

• The new communications structure will launch February 2026.
