Syls Stars: Inclusive Games for All

St. Sylvester's GAA Club has long been a cornerstone of the community, welcoming children of all abilities to participate in various sections throughout its history. In recent years, this inclusive approach has been formalised through the creation of Syls Stars, a dedicated programme within the club.

Syls Stars embodies the true spirit of community sport, making Gaelic games accessible to participants of all ages and abilities. The programme's primary focus is to ensure that everyone can enjoy the sports, forge friendships, and become an integral part of the club's vibrant community spirit.

This initiative has been driven forward by exceptional club members like Justine Flanagan and Nicky Cleere and, alongside a team of devoted parents who volunteer their time and energy. Their commitment has been instrumental in creating an environment where children can thrive, regardless of their skill level or physical capabilities.

By offering fun sessions, Syls Stars enables all participants to experience the joy of Gaelic Games. This inclusive approach not only benefits the children involved but also strengthens the fabric of the entire St. Sylvester's community, fostering a sense of belonging and mutual support that extends far beyond the playing field.

Syls Stars train on Tuesdays from 5.30pm to 6.20pm
