Membership FAQ

1. What does St. Sylvester's use the membership funds for?  Memberships cover a multitude of costs which include player registration & injury benefit fund costs (Dublin County Board, L.G.F.A. & Camogie), public liability insurance, pitch upkeep & maintenance, pitch lighting, upkeep of Gym facility, Director of Sport, Games Promotion Officer.

2. What is the membership term? The terms is for the 12 months calendar year.

3. Is there an option to pay by instalment? Yes, membership can be paid over three months.

4. Can I renew using the ClubZap Mobile App? Yes, this is the easiest way to renew membership.

5. Do you have any alternative options if I don’t have the ClubZap App?  Yes click on this link: https://stsylvesters.clubzap.com/membership_signup

6. Do you have discount for families? Yes, details as follows:

a. Up to 2 Parents as Full Members (Adult Playing or Adult Non-Playing)

b. + 2 Academy and/or Juvenile Memberships (Up to 18 years old) €410

c. + 3 (+) Academy and/or Juvenile Memberships (Up to 18 years old) €490

7. Do students pay the full adult playing membership of €265? No, there is a reduced rate for students of €185. Students are defined as being 18 years or over on 1st January 2026 & their student card must be uploaded when taking out membership.

8. Can I add another family member after paying the membership? We recommend adding potential future members when taking out membership. Additional members can be added; however this is a manual task which the membership team will assist you with as the Clubzap system doesn’t have the facility to add new members. 9. What happens if I don’t renew my membership as a player? 

a. There is no insurance cover if you get injured

b. You are not eligible for selection to play matches

10. Do you have an option for Senior Members (Over 65)? Yes, Senior membership is available for €50.

11. Do you have an option to take out Social Membership? Yes, social membership is available at a cost of €85. However, you are not entitled you to vote at the AGM with this membership option.

12. Do members receive a discount from Drink prices in the St. Sylvester’s Club Bar? Yes, upon presentation of members card, members will receive c.10% on purchase prices. (No card presented, no discount & no exceptions!)

13. Where can I obtain my membership card to obtain members discount in the St. Sylvester’s Club Bar? Contact: sylsmembership@gmail.com

We fully appreciate that there are times when it is financially difficult for families and we absolutely do not want inability to pay to be an issue for any of our members who want to play our games.  The Club will deal with all requests for support in this matter with compassion and in the utmost confidence.
