In a fast paced and physical Round 1 Senior 3 Championship Hurling match, St. Sylvesters narrowly lost to Naomh Fionnbarra in a closely contested battle. The final score saw Naomh Fionnbarra emerge victorious with 3-17 (26) to St. Sylvesters' 2-18 (24).
The match began with Syls showing early promise, establishing a lead through consistent scoring from the Syls forwards.
The first half saw Syls dominate the scoreboard, with several frees converted and a mix of points from play. A pivotal moment came just before halftime when Syls found the back of the net, giving them a narrow 1-12 to 2-8 lead at the break.
