UPDATE: A Big Weekend of Syls Action Ahead 🔵🟢

November 15, 2025 424 Views

Even with all grass pitches closed, there’s still a brilliant line-up of Championship and Shield action to look forward to across the weekend — with plenty of Syls teams heading into major finals and semi-finals. It’s a great chance to get out, show the colours, and give our players the backing they deserve.

Saturday kicks off on the All-Weather Pitch in Broomfield, where our U15 Girls contest the Division 1 Final at 12:45, followed later in the afternoon by the U14 Boys in the Division 7 Shield Final at 4:30pm. Two huge games on home turf to get the weekend started, and a great opportunity for supporters to fill the stand and bring the noise.

UPDATED: Also on Saturday, our U16 Boys hurlers (⚾️) face Fingallians in their Championship Final away HOME ON AWP at 14:30pm. The lads have shown serious grit all year and will be looking to finish their campaign on a high.

Sunday begins bright and early on the All-Weather Pitch in Broomfield, where our Minor B Hurlers (⚾️) host Raheny in the Minor D Hurling Championship Semi, with throw-in at 10am. A brilliant way to start the day and a great chance to get behind this hardworking squad.

A little later, attention turns to Ballyboden, where our U14 Girls line out in the Division 2 Cup Final, now away in Ballyboden. Throw-in is 1pm, and we wish the girls the very best of luck as they chase silverware on the road.

Back in Broomfield, our U13 Girls have two big games, starting with the Shield Division 1 Final at 2pm on the All-Weather Pitch against Castleknock. Straight after that, our St Sylvester's B team host Man O’War at 3:30pm in the Division 7 Cup Semi-Final. Two massive knockout games for an age group that has shown incredible progress all season.

Sunday now also includes the U16 Girls Semi-Final, scheduled for the All-Weather Pitch in Broomfield, at 5pm (originally St. Anne's Park).

With so many teams in crucial knockout fixtures, it’s another weekend that shows the strength, depth and spirit right across the club. Best of luck to all players, lead mentors and volunteers involved — and to our supporters, thank you for continuing to turn up in numbers.

And finally…
A massive thank you from the 2015 girls to the 2012 Camogie team who visited the 2015 training session on Monday to show off their newly-won cup 🏆. These two teams share a special bond, with plenty of big sisters cheering on their younger siblings. There was even a request for a pen so the 2012 girls could sign hurls — a gorgeous moment and a great sign of how bright the future is for these players 🥹💪👏

Let’s bring the blue and green everywhere they play. Syls Abú 💙💚
