St. Stephen’s Day Wren Day Coffee Morning & Trad Session

December 21, 2025 117 Views

St Stephen’s Day at Syls is set for a lovely lift of music, colour and community spirit as we host a special Wren Day Coffee Morning and Trad Session in aid of the Gaza Crisis Appeal.

From 12pm on 26 December, the clubhouse will be buzzing with tunes, laughter and the timeless Wren Day tradition. Whether you arrive wrapped up in a classic “Wren Day” disguising costume or just pop in as you are, you will be very welcome.

Expect a relaxed afternoon with
• Live traditional music
• Tea, coffee and cakes
• Plenty of chat and festive cheer
• Optional Wren Day costumes for anyone who wants to keep the old custom alive

Most importantly, every cup served and every tune played will help raise much needed funds for the Gaza Crisis Appeal, supported by the Irish Red Cross. It is a simple way for our community to make a meaningful difference at a time of year when compassion matters most.

A lovely tradition, a worthy cause, and a great excuse to meet friends old and new. Wren's Day
