A Huge Thank You to Our Incredible Volunteers

As the curtain comes down on another fantastic Mini All Irelands, we want to extend a massive thank you to everyone who helped make this year’s festival such a memorable success.

The Mini All Irelands has become one of the highlights of the Syls calendar and each year it continues to grow bigger, better, and even more special for our young players and families. That only happens because of the incredible community spirit within St. Sylvester’s.

From coaches, mentors, referees, organisers, parents, guardians, teenage helpers, our senior adult players, and volunteers working quietly in the background, your energy, positivity, and commitment has been truly outstanding.

Most importantly, thank you for creating such a brilliant memories for our juvenile boys and girls. The smiles, excitement, friendships, teamwork, and fun on display across every age group captured exactly what our club is all about. It was wonderful to see so many young Syls players enjoying their football, hurling, and camogie, in such a positive and supportive atmosphere.

A special word of thanks also to everyone who helped with the Kerrigans BBQ throughout the day. Your hard work and teamwork behind the grill (in that heat !) was hugely appreciated and played a massive role in keeping everyone energised !

Well done to our incredible “Second Hand Shop” team - raising over €1600 on the day to go towards club facilities. Bualadh bos !

And what brilliant stalls organised by some of our age groups to help raise funds for their teams. From sweet treats and refreshments to games, raffles, and creative ideas, the effort and enthusiasm on display was outstanding. The stalls added hugely to the festival atmosphere around the grounds and it was wonderful to see so many players, parents, and volunteers getting involved and supporting each other throughout the event.

On the comms side, a special thanks to Daragh Sheedy and Peter Kelly for bringing SYLS TV to life during the Mini All Irelands. The coverage, interviews, and behind the scenes content added a new dimension to this year's event and created brilliant memories for players and families alike. Watch out for this and more SYLS TV footage over the coming days and weeks and keep an eye out for the microphone around the grounds during Championship season !

Also to Olena and Roman (Beard Barbers) for the excellent drone footage and video creation. The aerial footage captured the scale, atmosphere, and spirit of the Mini All Irelands brilliantly across Broomfield, while also offering a glimpse into the future of what will no doubt become one of the finest and most admired GAA club campuses in the county once completed.

And events like this wouldn't be possible without the support of our wider club community and partners. A massive thank you once again to our sponsor, Charlies Childcare, for their continued support of our Academy and Mini All Irelands.

Finally, thank you to everyone who supported the event across the two weeks by attending games, cheering on teams, visiting the stalls, and helping to create a brilliant atmosphere around the club grounds. The Mini All Irelands continues to showcase the very best of St. Sylvester’s and reminds us what makes our club so special: community, inclusion, friendship, teamwork, and fun.

Well done everyone for making Mini All Irelands 2026 another unforgettable success.

A full photo stream will be shared this week on the official Syls WhatsApp Channels, so keep an eye out for that.
