Siamsa Syls Launch 6-Week Traditional Music Academy for 2017 Boys & Girls
This autumn, young musicians and dancers will have the chance to step into the vibrant world of traditional Irish culture as Siamsa Syls announce their brand-new 6-Week Traditional Music Academy.
Aimed at 2017 boys and girls, the course offers a lively and joyful introduction to Ireland’s rich tradition of music, song, and dance, where children will explore the sounds of bodhráns, the steps of set dancing, and the spirit of singing circles.
Over six weeks, participants will learn directly from expert tutors in a fun, welcoming group setting. Each session focuses on building natural rhythm, simple tunes, playful dance steps, and traditional songs — creating the perfect space for children to discover new talents, build confidence, and connect with their cultural roots.
📅 Course Dates: September – October 2025
📍 Venue: St. Andrews Primary School, Church Road
🕕 Time: Thursday evenings at 6:00 PM
💶 Fee: €50 per child (for full 6-week programme)
The academy is designed especially for children born in 2017 and requires no prior experience — just enthusiasm and energy.
