Many thanks to all coaches for the contributions and photos (below the article).

A jam-packed weekend of action for our Syls teams, with huge efforts, tight battles, and great performances across all age groups. Here’s how they got on, from our youngest stars to our minor warriors.

🔵 2017 (U8) Boys – Football Fun at Home & Away

Our youngest footballers had a brilliant day of games, with Pods 1 and 2 travelling to Fingallians and St Pats Donabate, while Pod 3 hosted St Vincents. Great skill, energy, and effort on display from all teams—well done, lads! 🔵🟢

🔵 2016 Boys – 72 Players, 9 Teams, 2 Venues!

A huge morning of football saw our 2016 boys face Clontarf, Erin’s Isle, and Na Fianna. With 72 boys across 9 teams, they showed amazing teamwork and passing while proudly wearing their Syls colours. 💙💚
🔵
2015 Girls – Camogie Action Home & Away

A super morning of Camogie for the 2015 girls, with games against St Jude’s (away) and Clanna Gael (home). Fun and smiles all around as they continue to grow and develop on the pitch!

🔵 2014 Football – Strong Outings in Ballinteer & Whitehall

The 2014s had six teams in action, with Syls 1 fielding three teams against Ballinteer and Syls 2 taking on Whitehall with three more teams. Excellent performances all round—great to see so many players in action!

🔵 2012 Hurling – Gritty Three-Point Win Over St Pats Palmerstown 🟢

A hard-fought battle for our U13 T2 hurlers, showing great determination and skill to grind out a three-point victory against St Pats Palmerstown T1. Well done, lads!

🔵 2011 Hurling – Tight Battles in Division 1 & B League

2011 T1 Hurling: A shootout against Faughs in Division 1 saw Syls just come up short in an 8-9 to 6-12 thriller.

2011 U14 B Hurlers: A tough loss (2-4 to 1-1) against Faughs, but a dominant second-half performance could have turned the game if not for some unlucky wides! Plenty to build on!

🔵 2010 Camogie – Hard-Fought Win Over Castleknock 🟢

A strong start and clinical finishing saw the 2010 D2 camogie team build a solid lead against Castleknock. Despite a late fightback, Syls' defense held firm to secure a well-deserved win. Special thanks to the four 2011 players who played a huge role in the victory!

🔵 Minor A Ladies Football – Strong Start Despite Narrow Loss

A competitive and entertaining league opener for our Minor As on International Women's Day against a strong St Maurs side in Broomfield. Trailing by two points at halftime, the girls fought back to level with 10 minutes to go. However, a late flurry of frees from Maurs saw them pull away for a four-point win. A promising start mixing 07s and 08s – plenty of positives to take forward!

Final Thoughts

A weekend full of tight contests, huge wins, and brilliant performances across all age groups. From our youngest stars taking their first steps in the game to our minor warriors fighting until the final whistle, Syls continues to shine! 🔵🟢
