New Season Message from Paddy Miskelly, Club Chairperson

25th January 2018 Dear Member, The start of the 2018 season is almost upon us, something which we look forward to with great excitement. This year we will have record numbers of players representing the club across all age groups and sections. On behalf of the Executive Committee best wishes to all players, mentors and parents for the year ahead.

Membership 2018: We would like to take this opportunity to remind our members that Club membership fees for 2018 are now due. We would appreciate prompt payment to help your club meet the very significant player registration, team entry and player insurance fees that are incurred in the early part of each year.  If you have already paid, many thanks.

Potential for All-Weather Pitch This Year! As you are aware, we have ambitious plans to further develop our playing facilities in Broomfield to provide the best opportunity for our players to realise their potential. The establishment of an all-weather pitch is the club’s top priority. We have already received phenomenal support, and have raised over €400,000since June 2017.

The recent weather and how it impacts upon our early season preparations reinforces our belief that we should do all we can to complete this project in 2018, which is possible if we have sufficient funds to fully commit to begin the build.  The first week of May is the key decision time, whereby we need to raise a further €250,000. If not, we will need to wait another 12 months.

Every contribution counts, no matter how big or small. When renewing your membership online you will be given the option to also make a donation. If you want to donate but would rather speak to somebody directly please contact myself, or one of the fundraising team.

If you want to help in other ways, such as arranging fundraising efforts with your team, we ask that you please do so now.The establishment of an All Weather pitch in Broomfield will transform the playing facilities for our club, our local community and our local schools.
