Syl's girls in scoring form as Dublin Ladies outclass Monaghan

Sinead Aherne (0-7, 2 frees), Nicole Owens (1-2) and Niamh McEvoy (1-0) contributed handsomely to this one sided affair that ended Dublin 5-18, Monaghan 0-6. Dublin played a fast paced running /passing game and quickly established their superiority with Nicole finishing off a slick passing movement to score the first point.

Tough start for U15s

U15F D1 Sporting new management and coaches in Panner and Super Ryan, the U15s lost by six points to a strong Lucan Sarsfields in Bridgefield on Sunday morning. I only saw the second half where we had a decent wind in our backs and matched Sarsfields on the scoreboard but we couldn't reel in the six point defecit from the first half. We did get back to three points and unfortunately hit the post with a penalty that would have brought us level but that was as close as we got. The Lucan keeper pulled off a couple of good saves and they finished with three points to restore a good lead.

Syls girls lead as Dublin make a flying start to the league

Dublin scored 2.14 to Kerry's 1.06 in the first round match of the National League played in Parnell Park on Sunday. Dublin were by far the fitter and slicker team as reflected by the impressive score line. Eight Dublin players were on the score sheet. Nicole, Niamh and Sinead were all in the starting fifteen, what an honour for the club to have the highest number of players from one club in the starting fifteen. Niamh bagged two brilliant goals and in all the girls contributed 2.05 to the score sheet. Nice to see good Syls presence in the stands.

St. Sylvester’s U8s (2008s) Update

After some disappointing pre-Christmas wash-outs, our U8s (2008 born) have returned to training throughout January in terrific numbers. We are delighted to see over 45 players turning up every week for midweek training (Thursdays at 6.30pm on Hockey pitch) and on Saturday mornings at the Ball Wall. The commitment and enthusiasm in both hurling and football is great to see, and there is excitement building ahead of our participation in the Dublin Go-games leagues in February. The 2016 Juvenile master fixtures list shows the key dates to note into Easter (we are CCC1 U8s), as follows:
