All Weather Pitch - Permitted Boots

Thinking of new boots this Christmas? As our new All Weather Pitch nears completion here is the advisement on what boots will be permitted on the new surface.
All Weather Pitch - Permitted Boots


Screw-in stud and moulded stud boots will only permitted. Boots with metal studs or metal blades as these will damage the surface. Boots with plastic blades are shown to increase the risk of knee and lower leg injury when used on an all-weather surface.
The Best footwear is rubber or plastic moulded studded boots. Flat soled trainers are not recommended. They will compress the pile and increase the risk of injury to you.


The new All-Weather Pitch represents a €0.7m investment in the future of our Club so we can all enjoy the benefit for years to come. It is important that players adhere to the guidance so the surface is kept in optimum condition. See guide below:
