A Club For All Seasons 2020 - how to help!

Can you help us raise €650,000 to develop a new facility to bring our playing activities into one centralised area at Broomfield Pitches?

At St. Sylvester's, we have the ambition to build a first–class sports campus in Broomfield that: matches the expectations & ambitions of our players and provides them with the best possible opportunities, building a stronger ‘One Club’ for all.
This year, we have embarked upon an ambitious programme to improve the playing facilities for our club, our local community and our local schools with plans to develop an all-weather pitch at Broomfield. We need to raise €650,000 to develop a new facility designed to bring the majority of our games and playing activities into one centralised area at Broomfield Pitches where there is much potential.

With the installation of new floodlighting to Pitch 2 at Broomfield we have taken the vital first step to begin an All-Weather surfaced facility that can allow both training and the playing of games uninterrupted by wet weather through Autumn and Winter. The project will benefit all our future players in all sections of the Club who will have access to the pitch. We will also, through a licensed agreement, facilitate Malahide Community School for their School teams.

How Will It Be Funded?

A key principle of the Project is to continue development of club infrastructure on a debt free basis. To achieve this we need to have access to €650,000 of funding before we can commit to the development. To date the Club has successfully raised €200,000 from within the parent group, and the Club has submitted an application for support funding of €150,000 under the 2017 Sports Capital Grants Programme. We will also activate a programme of fundraising events over the coming months to reach this target. All funds will be ring-fenced in a designated project bank account.

We Need Your Help!

Can you help with a financial donation to support our development? The Revenue Commissioners have recognised St. Sylvester’s GAA Club as an approved sports body so tax relief is available on donations of a minimum of €250 from PAYE, self-employed and corporate business donations. You will find information on the scheme HERE and the donation form HERE.  The appropriation

cert can be viewed HERE.  If you need further information or can help with a donation please contact me to discuss. You may also contact the Fundraising Committee directly by emailing ‘’. Donations will be treated confidentially.

Other Opportunities:
SPONSORSHIP: Commercial Packages – there will be opportunity for businesses to sponsor advertising space at Broomfield. If you would like details of the commercial opportunities please let me know and I will pass your details on to the commercial team.

EVENTS:The Club will launch a number of initiatives over the fund-raising period which individuals and businesses can support financially:

Our Gala Ball 2017 profits will be donated fully to the project
Other events will be communicated in due course.

On behalf of the Club, I’d like to take this opportunity to thank you for your ongoing support. Please feel free to contact me or a member of the Committee and we will be happy to meet to discuss any questions or queries you may have.
