U11 girls have great battle with Scoil

Syls girls had a terrific battle yesterday in Broomfield with Scoil Ui Chonaill with no quarter asked nor given. The quality of score taking on show was of a quality normally seen on the 3rd Sunday of September in Croker. This was the 2nd meeting of these 2 teams in a short space of time and with Syls prevailing last time out due to a last minute goal the away team were clearly intent on avenging that defeat and started on the front foot.

Inter footballers bow out to Ballyboughal

IFC B Ballyboughal 0-16 St Sylvesters 0-12 Four point loss in a game where our shooting let us down and the excellent former Dublin U21 Gerry Seavers missed nothing for the home side. Beautiful evening in North County but we seemed to take the wrong options on the smallish field.

U12s three from three

Under 12's made it 3 from 3 in division 1 after a 19 point victory over Fingallians in Balheary. Syls outclassed their local rivals in all areas of the pitch and a well disciplined defence lead by the excellent Michael Downey made it hard for Fingallians to score. Keep up to good work lads Regards, Podge

Great result for Gerard from St Sylvesters

Great result for Gerard from St Sylvesters

This week we requested a donation of a Vodafone Dublin shirt for Gerard, a life long fan who is so proud to wear the blue. Brendan received not one but four shirts from Darragh, Eddie, Fiona and Declan and Gerard's family are delighted with your kind response and requested we post Gerards picture as a thank you. Well done lads and very best wish to Gerard, a true blue.

Senior Ladies win over Parnells in Dublin Senior Championship

Most enjoyable performance from our perspective. At half time we were calling it the Crossbar Challenge - I think Syls hit that bar or the post four times in the first half alone and Parnells hit it twice. Syls football was just brilliant, Nicole, Louise and Niamh knitting it all together, Kate Sullivan complementing Danny and Sinead up front, Anne Clarke hitting exquisite passes, Cliodhna Hammill a commanding fullback, Watch out for the next game, well worth watching. Mick sent a great report.

Battle of Clontarf twenty sixteen

2005 boys Community Games Hurling A Titanic performance by all, in terrible conditions. It's been said "the harder you try, the luckier you get" ohh boy, did the boys try hard and earn their luck. Syls had wonder saves, scored wonder goals from impossible angles, late on Clontarf hit the inside of the goal post and the ball bounced around the Syls box, the Syls boys showed great hunger to get in brave last ditch blocks as Clontarf went for the win aided by a strong breeze .
