U10 Hurlers Compete in Dermot McNulty Tournament 27th October

The U10 hurlers competed in the Annual Dermot McNulty Tournament organised by Na Fianna on Monday 27th October on a fine day for hurling. There were 5 matches in all in a very competitive group for Syls including Craobh Ciaran, Ballyboden St Endas, Na Fianna, Lucan Sarafields and Kilmacud Crokes. Others teams taking part included Cuala, Setanta and Cushedall from Antrim.

This was the first hurling tournament for these young players and they really enjoyed playing a number of very competitive matches back to back and playing against new opposition. Although we didn't qualify for the final we did win two of the five matches, improved with each game and finished strongly with a great win against Kilmacud Crokes to round off a very enjoyable day. Well done to all players involved who showed great spirit and hurling skills throughout the day. Thanks also to Na Fianna for hosting the tournament and for the invitation to play.
