Good win for Inters in Loving Cup

Loving Cup: St. Sylvesters 8-16 Ballyboughal 2-3 Great to see the Inters bounce back in such an emphatic manner after a very disheartening early exit in the Intermediate Championship the previous week. This was a timely reminder of what this (mostly!) young outfit is capable of, and should hopefully provide a boost to the lads so they can kick on after a tough run of recent games.

A shaky start saw us concede an early goal, but attack was the order of the day, and once Syls quickly gained a foothold we rarely looked threatened. Cian O'Scolai and Luke Troy helped themselves to plenty of scores, though Alex Wright's 3-2 from center forward was probably the highlight of the day. The speed and mobility of our midfield duo, Danny Greenan and Shane Doyle, caused problems for Ballyboughal from the off, and they were very ably supported by Karl Archbold at center back, and our three young half forwards Jamie, Alex and Paidi in particular.
