Aidan, Got word back from St.Judes this morning complementing Our Referee co-ordinator for supplying in their comments "3 Excellent Referees "for yesterday's games and singled out Luke Peyton for special praise as probably the best Go Games referees he has ever come across in his time with Go Games teams, Mick Byrne
St Sylvesters hosted Trinity Gaels on a glorious Saturday afternoon.
Just advance notice to all Adult managers & Ladies section that on Saturday April 8th Syls will be hosting U14 Boys Football Féile group games. Only 1 pitch will be used on the day, with the final decision on which pitch being made closer to the event. As there are no Adult or Ladies games fixed for home that day, it shouldn’t cause any interference with teams. However just to note that on the day ALL dressing rooms will be used for the Feile competition teams solely and access for any other teams will only be available from 5.30pm onwards. Many thanks in advance for your co-operation on this matter. Regards Fergal McStay Club Secretary
Just by way of update. Firstly thanks to all of you for your efforts in getting the Know Your Sports entries sold. Many thanks to all those who have supported our juvenile teams – both boys & girls – by entering our Know Your Sport prediction competition this year. Your support for the fundraising efforts of our teams in this regard is hugely appreciated by all teams.

Due to a resignation we need a volunteer to fill the position of Child Welfare Officer. No specific qualifications are required but knowledge of the broad are of child safety and welfare and how to discreetly investigate issues would be very useful. Please don't be afraid of the title, we need someone to step forward, just as with any other positions in the club. Email Paddy at email@example.com or Fergal at firstname.lastname@example.org. See the attached description of Child WElfare and Protection within the GAA.
We are running the Know Your Sport Prediction Competition fundraiser again this year and are looking for your support now to make it a success. As was the case last year, 80% of the funds raised will go directly back to your individual teams to be used to fund as much as possible for 2017 team running and referee expenses, with 20% being retained centrally to fund prizes etc

There was a good attendance at the Juvenile AGM on Thursday. Fergal gave an excellent summary of how we stand with regard to competitiveness and participation relative to the other big Dublin clubs. Pat Hoyne (still playing junior hurling since we refused to accept his most recent attempt to retire) will be the new Chairman, Will Rooney will be Vice Chair and Marie Hughes has stepped into the Secretary position. Thanks to Paddy and Fergal and the outgoing committee and let's make sure the new committee have our full support and commitment.

We had another fantastic week of hurling in Broomfield this week with one hundred and five young energetic St Sylvesters hurlers taking part. This is the largest number we have had over the seven years that the camp is running. It is a tribute to all the hard work being done by the mentors in the juvenile section.

Joe Duffy are a key club sponsor with a particular focus within the juvenile section. We have recently agreed an affinity scheme for all members of St Sylvesters and Joe Duffy Motors have now provided us with key contacts for all their brands. Staff at Joe Duffy Motors have been briefed on the relationship with the club and the need to provide club members with additional and exclusive benefits like home/work test drives, free courtesy vehicles (where available) for servicing and better value servicing and sales deals.
Your support is needed at Feile Footballers Division2 final against Lucan in Parnell Park @3pm tomorrow, Sunday 1st May Best of luck, from everyone in Syls.
We only started the Easter Camps about 5 years ago but they have quickly become one of our most popular annual events and with the weather blessing us we set record numbers for participation. Due to popularity we had to close numbers for the camp so we would ask anyone wishing to book summer camps to do so as early as possible to avoid disappointment.
