Syls and Nmh Marnóg host Gaelic4Mothers
Syls and Naomh Marnóg hosted the biggest event in Ladies Football with the Gaelic 4 Mothers catering for 1,600 players on Saturday. Congratulations to all on a great event. What a pity we do not have our own teams playing these past few years. We really need some mentors to get this super initiative going in Malahide again, This must be one of the great initiatives in ladies games and it's great that we provide facilities and support but it would be even better if Syls were playing again. See the report from LadiesGaa and pictures from Peter Hickey.

Syls return to Gaelic4Mothers National Blitz in style
Congratulations to the Syls Gaelic4Mothers team back in the National Blitz which we co-hosted again this year with neighbours Naomh Marnóg. Maybe Dee or Keith can tell us a little more about this greatest of sports days. If you've never seen G4M take a look at the attached video, what a movement. Peter sent a link to some brilliant pictures and also said that Croke Park said 'Syls were the best supported and had the best fun vibe for the day. The atmosphere around the slys pitch was electric'

ArticleAll Ireland Gaelic for Mothers Blitz - take another bow guys!!
Yet another great day for St Sylvesters as our Ladies Section hosted the inaugural G4M Blitz - 8 fields in play simultaneously - nearly 500 players from 45 clubs - take another bow guys - Declan, Brian, Angela, Gerry, Suzanne, Martin, Eddie, I'm sure Martin will give us all the details. And Hedgo fed everyone in record time back at the club. When I saw our corner back walk up the Lucan corner forward at the start of their game and say 'Hi, I'm Linda . . .' and proceed to have a chat, I knew we watching a new chapter open in the annals of Gaelic Football. The games were none the less competitive for all that, however. Long may it continue.

Article Troff documentSyls Ladies Section - Take a Bow!
The Jackies put in the performance of their lives and were extremely unlucky to lose by a point to a Cork team winning their fifth All Ireland title in a row. If only we could get this performance out of our footballers and hurlers, we would be top of the world in boith codes. Special congratulations to our own Sinead Aherne and her Naomh Marnóg colleagues Denise Masterson and Cliodhna O'Connor. You did us all proud girls. And at Broomfield on Saturday the Syls and Nmh Marnóg ladies again surpassed themselves with another excellent All Ireland 7's. Not to be forgotten are the Gaelic4Mothers from Syls who graced Croke Park and the legions of supporters who also did Dublin proud.

Syls Gaelic4Mothers take on Fins on Sunday
Our Mams take on Fins on Sunday in Broomfield at 1:30pm, why not drop up and give the girls your support. It should be a good game as many of Mam's know each other. If the Syls Mams get a win there will be no kids dropped to swimming/football/dancing/chess/tennis/music/maths/drama lessons for a week with the celebrations!
