Facilities development - the beat goes on
Continuing the great work of the past few years we are delighted to let you know that the club has successfully completed an initial application for a €150,000 sports council grant to assist in the development of a Broomfield sports campus to include a full size floodlit all weather astro training pitch. If our application is successful this funding will go in its entirety towards providing top class facilities for our kids.

Clubhouse refurbishments - bualla bos
The newest clubhouse updates had a soft unveiling last evening and everyone present were delighted with the layout and quality of our new club bar, it is modern, cosy and accessible directly from the street. Come down and see for yourself, I think you will love it. Big thanks to a club member who helped with the finance and great credit to all the people who volunteered their time and skills - plumbing, carpentry (beautiful work), electrics, sound system, painting and a whole lot more. Hopefully Joe will send me a note and name names, it is a great team effort, Bualla Bos agus Syls Abú.

Gala Night a great success
Congratulations to Paddy Miskelly and he brilliant committee for a great night out where we raised much needed funds to complete the second side of the Ball Wall and improve our winter training facilities. It was a brilliantly organised event, great fun compered for the Apres Match funny guy Barry Murphy. Chairman Ciaran Meehan welcomed and thanked our guests and attendees, Paddy talked about our facilities development and thanked the people who brought the Ball Wall to reality and Dublin Football manager Jim Gavin gave up his time to commend the club,on our ambitions, reminded the lads that the guys who want it enough will play for Dublin and entertained us with comments about the great achievements of the Dubs. I will ask Paddy to send some comments and maybe someone has better pictures, mine are not great.

Work on the Ball Wall
I'm sure many you have seen the new targets painted onto the short side of the Ball Wall (see pic attached). This is as a result of the great time & effort spent by our new Facilities Group lead by Eoin Farquharson & Aidan Lillis and helped by Liam Foley. They plan to finish this project by completing the large side this Saturday (weather permitting) which will result in the closure of the large side of the wall.

Broomfield Campus Development
In continuation of our quest to provide the best possible sporting facilities for our members our Facilities Development Group have documented the attached plan as illustrative of what we hope to achieve. It is pretty consistent with other plans developed over the years shows a practical roadmap for our facilities to be developed in a phased manner. We are submitting an application for Sports Grant Funding by 24th February and we wish to make members aware of the costs involved if we want to build an all-weather facility in Broomfield. An application for a grant does not commit us in any way at this stage. The plan attached is for illustrative purposes only and will undoubtedly change as we continue to engage.
